Zooming and Panning

The Zoom tools change the magnification of items within the design area to allow you to see more or less detail. This does not change the output size.

By default, the cursor will return to the previously selected tool after using these tools. You must reselect a zooming and panning tool each time you want to use it.

ZoomTool

Zooms in at twice the magnification of the current view. The point you click on will become the center of the view.

  • Hold Ctrl and left-click to zoom out to half the magnification of the current view. The point you click on will become the center of the view.
  • Click and drag to magnify one particular portion of the design area.

ZoomIn

Adjusts the center of the view to twice the size of the current view.

ZoomPage

Adjusts the view size to fit the design area size.

ZoomOut

Adjusts the center of the view to half the size of the current view.

ZoomPrevious

Switches the view to the previous magnification.

ZoomSelected

Adjusts the view size to fit the selected objects.

ZoomAll

Adjusts the view size to fit all existing objects.

Pan

Pans the view position.

FillMode

Double-click this tool to choose Show layer color, Show fill color, or Show path direction.

Keyboard and mouse

To incrementally zoom in or out relative to the location of the mouse pointer, hold the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse wheel up or down.
