Selecting Objects Based on Attributes

You can specify objects to select based on their type, fill, stroke, and effect. (For example, you can select all blue rectangles or all text.)

1. From the Edit menu, point to Select and click Select by Attributes.
   (or press D on the keyboard).
2. Select which attributes will be used in the selection.

   Object tab	Fill tab
   Stroke tab	Effect tab

   • Select Show all to display all the possible attributes within a particular tab.
   • Select All types to select all the elements listed within a displayed tab.
   • Select Selection only to limit your choices to currently selected objects. This allows you to refine your selection to an area that you define.

     This option is unavailable if no object is selected.

3. Select the attribute types to select by.
4. Click OK.
